Wild, Rebel

The 24th was to be the day he strolled into town. Him and his ugly no good, spittin, swearing hootin and hollerin damn band of rebels.

A friend mentioned him to me after talking about The Screemin Yeehaws. These bands are one that really makes you want to pick up a pint and get to singin and dancin, its just to fun to sit still through.
Not sure how familiar you are with the Williams singers, but this Hank the 3rd is the grandson of Hank williams. Hank Williams is a classic rockabilly staple coming from the Grand Ole Opery in Memphis. His son rode along the Williams fame train for some time, but was most famous for his road on the crazy train with his drugs and alcohol. Then it seems like Hank 3 is pretty much a mix. Some years back, after some tight times, Hank decided to cash in on his predecessor fame and his striking similarity to his grandfather. So after deliting the long line of Hank Williams fans, he released a few real county rockabilly records. Then a few more were released with his own influence of punk and blues guitar. Its pretty fun music, in fact its a wild, crazed rebel riot. Just take a look at some of his lyrics/songs; Punch, Fight , Fuck; Drinking with my Country Heros, It must have been those pills I took; All my Rowdy Friends, etc. And he sings "Im here to put the Dick in Dixie and the Cunt back in Country". Thats the type of outlaw he is, Damn right rebel proud.
Catching Hank 3 is like 3 concerts in one, country, punk and metal show. So notice that in the photos, how he goes from looking country, changes hats (and looses stand up bass) to a more routy type, then lets his hair down (and pulls out electric) for his metal band.
View photos I shot with my iPhone here..We left when he got going into his metal stuff, not my style.
