Decorating ideas

Sometime this weekend while walking through Hillcrest, I came across a modern furniture store. The display they had in their front window was just what I was wanting to do with my apartment.


Besides the fact that there is a terrible reflection from the window, you can still get a good idea what I'm aiming for. And see Megan, there was a reason I wanted that zebra print blanket. I will do mine in a blue color though. But bright color with graphic prints, sounds like Rachel to me!


Another decorating inspiration I saw was in the new Sex in the City movie. Carrie renovates her apartment, and I love it. She hass a bold blue color like I would like, and some long graphic print curtains theat extend to the floor. I tried finding a picture of it, but the previous was all i could find.
I won't be able to start working on this till after Germany, but the idea are flowing. And now that I have a sewing machine (thanks grams!) I can make my own curtains or slip covers for cheap seats/couches, hooray!
Id like to have some wall or room, that is devoted to music/pin ups/ car culture and such also. Kind of makes it difficult when you only have 2 rooms, with one being my living room and the other my office/bedroom. I don't want to crowd or deflect the creative energy that is in my office, but I don't know how to mix the two, cause their both equally Rachel. Only time will tell.
