Catch up

Well it's been a while since I've had time to post, so I'll sum up the last month or so briefly.
80's Party

My friend Paul had an eighties party for his birthday. Gotta love dress up parties. I had people tell me I looked like Boy George, which I think was due to the hat. You can't see it in these pics, but I managed to wrangle up some leg warmers that I wore with my killer blue stilettos, it was awesome. Then a hounds tooth skirt, a geometric shirt I had, and a blue short sleeved blazer from salvation army. My friend Emily pretty much wore her own, normal clothes.

Family Reunion
The last weekend of June we had the First Czarnecki Reunion. Man, it was a blast!
Czarnecki family reunion announcment
I met up with my Uncle Barry and family, along with Grandma, Aunt Judi and Pam/matt on Thursday for dinner at the Corvette Diner. Then on Friday Barry + fam and I headed up to Palmdale. Saturday was the big day with Manchester Broil food for lunch, and lots of pool playing. They also had a couple off roading stuff that we rode around for a bit.

It's crazy how much people think that I look like Judi. But the good thing about that is I know what I'll look like in 30 years! Saturday evening my cousins went over to Robby's for some wii and big kid fun. It was a great time hanging out with Ryder and Matt, catching up with both of them, real good times.
Ryder ended up passing out early and Matt and I hung out blabbing about everything, and sharing music for our ipods. Then we saw that Robbies neighbors down the hill (the fence was busted from his dogs) were having a party. So Matt and I worked up the courage, which comes easily from bottles now days, and trekked down the hill. It was funny, we just said, "Hey- were your neighbors cousins, whats up" and hung out for a bit more of the night. Let me tell you it was fun trying to make it back up the hill, I sill have some bruises and scrapes from that.
Then Sunday we went to Magic Mountain. That was good fun, went on about half a dozen rides. The last one we went on, Tatsu, Ryder ralphed like 3 times once we got off. He was looking like he was in bad shape, so we called it a night. Im still waiting to get the picture from Matt from that ride. I look spot on like Judi in that picture.
Lets see, then Monday, dad and I drove Matt and Pam to the airport in Long Beach, since it was close to Megs. Then just went to Megs to hang out for a bit, then took me home. It was a great time.
But that week was quite a short week for me. Fourth of July weekend was the next one, and I only had to work 2.5 days that week!

Thursday after work Brad and I went on a skate trip. I had some free tickets for Pat and Oscars and a movie. So we skated down to Mission Valley, which is a great fun skate. The area near Pat & Oscars has a bit of luxury apartments (prior picture) that have great paths through them. We went to see Hancock after dinner. It was good, but the ending left me a bit unsatisfied. It was a great Thursday skate night though.

Then Friday was the 4th. I went with a couple friends to the Del Mar Fair. We were only there for a few hours, got kind of tired of it and the crazy prices. I got to see some monster trucks and demolition derby though. Afterwards we went to a friends house for a 4th party. It was an awesome house, with some awesome cars too. It was at his folks house, and they are quite well off. So the house was gorgeous and lots of food! Next...

It's Not Just Talk Anymore!...

Yup, it's official, I bought my tickets to Germany this weekend. I will be going Sept. 5- Sept 26, 3 long weeks!! I will fly into London where Jozef will meet me and travel back to Germany. I plan on hitting up a few awesome design places (London Design Museum, a couple type foundries- where they have the original sketches of Helvetica, and others, and the Diesal wall) also Id like to at least stop in France, we'll do a few nights in Amsterdam and Prague and Switzerland. Of course quite a few stops in Berlin/Germany. It will be awesome!!
Well, thats about it for now. Quite a good catch up, thanks lunchtime. Maybe next I'll post some recent work.
Ciao!
