Oh man, it's nine o'clock on Sunday, and I'm now sitting here having to figure out what my next week will consist of. It's a shame, because that means my weekend is over:( But you know what, this was a well played weekend, well deserved weekend, and just the way it should be after a long week of work. Now it's back to the shoulder to the wheel, and oush along. More on that later.
But for the fun part, it started on Friday. my friend Emily and I...
Who was a friend of mine when i first moved out to SD, first year of school. She left the school, and we didn't really keep in touch. Recently we've been getting together and realized, hey- there was a reason we were friends. But back to the story, I heard about an event going on close to me that a friend I used to work with at 619 was doing a live painting thing at this fashion/style event. So, she was game to go.
It was pretty cool. A lot of the vintage and cool clothing boutiques had booths there, as well as cool salons and stuff. There were some crazy mimes and crazy dressed people on stilts walking around. One of the guys looked like he was already drunk, but still on stilts, crazy guy! I saw him getting help from people to get up, people in stilts helping a drunk stilts man up! I guess even if your really tall, its still hard to get up when your drinking.
Then after that we caught some dinner at a cool mexican place that is near my place that I have been wanting to check out. We went to this place also because it was in between the prior event and the show we were going to catch after.
The Creepy Creeps were playing at the Ken Club that night as well. Ive caught this band a couple times before, and they just have an awesome show.
They are a surf/rock/punk band. They have gogo dancers as members of their band. So needless to say there's tons of dancing going on, and in true surf music style, its always a dance show.
Our friends Carlos met up up at Ken Club for the show. Needless to say, it was a good time and a good night.
Saturday...
My friend brianna was having a group of friends from Temecula come to Oceanside for a bbq/bonfire day. So Carlos was a lazy bum and didn't want to go, so I took the coaster up there and met my friend Mira at the train.
Hot Rod Surf, gotta love it! I saw this car as I was just geting to the beach. I saw like 4 killer cars within the first 20 minutes I was there. I love this picture, great car, great day, great beach.
We found Brianna's party after a long search and wrong directions. It was quite the trek though, around jettys, through the water like a half mile! And that was also a bummer because a couple of my other north county friends were also going to meet us up there. Well, after we trecked across the beach, they didn't really feel like trecking what we just did. So it was a bummer that we didn't get to hang out.
The beautiful sunset ending the beautiful day. I can't wait for summer!! Then Mira, Valerie and I. Sorry for the off-centering, still getting used to self photos from my phone.
Mira and I were going to make it to Monicas house after, but on starting the drive, realized I was pretty tired. Plus I didn't want to show up at Monicas and be all tired and not as fun, and just crash there. Plus Id be stuck there cause the coaster doesnt run on Sundays. So I went home.
SUNDAY....
Another get together day. I wanted to get my girls together because the new Sex and the City movie came out this weekend. So we met up at the theatre in Del Mar because that between the few of us. It was Mira, Latoya, Jessica and Jenn. In college we would have girls nights, grab some food and watch sex in the city. It was quite the good, fun times.
I really liked this movie. I follwed the whole series, and it started where the series left off. It was good because it showed real relationship and the ups and downs with it. Except for Charolette, but she got something awful too- you'l have to watch to find out! I also really loved how Carrie decorated her new apartment. Very similar to what I was wanting in my apt., and I got quite a few good ideas; for curtains, patinings and shelving. So excited!
All in all it was a pretty worthwhile weekend. Now its back to the grind. I have to figure out what I have to do to get the logo for West Coast trees trademarked. we ran into a snag with thta. There is already a company in La Jolla that registerd as 'West Coast Trees'. So I have to start the whole process of what there trademark limitations are. And get all the materials together for a meeting on Tues. As well as my contract and bill. Lots to think about. I think Ill use this money to get my ticket to Europe!! Well, better get started.
Here's to antoher week.
